Great cà phê trứng. But beware of smokers ruining your experience

Prices are a little bit higher than usual in Hanoi but for such a nice view in the centre it's worth it. We ordered salted coffee even though it wasn't on the menu and it was super good, maybe a tad too salty but it might come down to your personal preference. I would recommend visiting on the weekend when the street in front is closed for cars if you're annoyed by traffic noise/want to people watch.

True to its name, L'etage Café is located on the second floor of the building at 9A Hang Khay. The entrance is a bit narrow, but there are signs outside to guide you. Once inside and up the stairs, you'll find the cafe. The space isn't overly large, with additional seating in a small loft area. The real highlight is the balcony seating offering a direct view of Hoan Kiem Lake. The panoramic and airy view, paired with a cup of coffee, makes it a solid 10. The drink menu is diverse, and the quality is quite satisfactory.

Service was perfect. Egg coffee was great. Such a cute atmosphere that overlooks the lake. Outdoor seating with a fan and indoor seating too away from the busy street. Highly recommend, especially if you’re trying an egg coffee for the first time!

such a cute little gem!! egg coffee was the best ever. do not get turned off by the rather scary looking entrance, it is so worth it to take the walk into a small backyard and go up the stairs.

The entrance is pretty cool. The decoration and atmosphere is really good. So classy. I ordered tea (ginger lemon honey), it’s pretty great with the cold breeze. Staff (not sure if he’s the owner) can speaks English.
